KIC awarded £300,000 for next 3 years! PDF Print E-mail
A new year and its going to be a great new Year for Kic fm. Kic FM Wolverhampton. Kic fm has been awarded £300,000 funding from V- inspired, the young people volunteers charity for the next 3 years to provide the service that Kic fm has been offering since 2000. With the new funding Kic fm will be able once again to expand its remit across the Black Country and also improve their Wolverhampton location. Kic fm is currently based on the University of Wolverhampton Compton Park Campus.  This late Christmas present means that Kic is back with a certainty for the next 3 years.



Kic was originally set up in 1996 by Rob Smith and since that date the Kic fm yellow trailer has toured The Black Country, with its two Hi-tech radio studios, office and facilities.

Another reason to celebrate is that Kic fm is this year 12 years old and is still Wolverhampton and the Black Countries only Youth orientated radio station where all of the Kic presenters are aged 16 to 25.
